BTCST YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMMING
One Registration. Year-Round Connection. Through Graduation.
When you select BTCST Year-Round Programming, you are registering your child to become part of the Before The Crowning Student Transition (BTCST) year-round youth programming network.
This is not registration for just one program or event.
Once a student completes the registration and enrollment process with BTCST, we remain connected to that student through high school graduation, providing ongoing academic follow-up, opportunities for participation, family engagement, and access to BTCST programming throughout the year.
REGISTRATION IS THE FIRST STEP
After registration is submitted, a parent/guardian and student interview will be required before enrollment is finalized.
The purpose of the interview is to make sure BTCST is the right fit for the student and family and that the family understands what being part of BTCST requires.
During the interview, we will discuss the student's needs, strengths, interests, school participation, family involvement, program expectations, and how BTCST may best support their continued growth.
Submitting a registration does not guarantee enrollment. Registration begins the process. Enrollment is completed after the required interview and acceptance into BTCST Year-Round Programming.
WHAT YEAR-ROUND ENROLLMENT INCLUDES
Once accepted and enrolled, BTCST students become connected to our year-round programming and opportunities.
Academic Follow-Up
BTCST stays connected to participating students throughout the school year and continues that relationship through graduation. We follow academic participation and progress while encouraging students to remain engaged, responsible, and accountable throughout their educational journey.
Read & Lead After-School Programming
Our academic and youth-development programming supports reading, homework completion, leadership development, confidence, life skills, and positive school participation.
Back to the Basics Summer Camp
BTCST students have access to our summer programming, which provides structured learning, enrichment, life skills, activities, field experiences, and opportunities to stay engaged throughout the summer.
Back-to-School Readiness Initiative
Each August, BTCST prepares students and families for the upcoming school year through our school-readiness activities and available resources.
Parades & Community Events
BTCST students may represent the organization and participate with us in parades, community celebrations, special events, and other opportunities throughout the year.
Volunteer & Community Service Opportunities
Students have opportunities to participate in age-appropriate service projects that help them understand responsibility, leadership, teamwork, and what it means to positively contribute to their community.
Additional BTCST Activities & Opportunities
As BTCST introduces additional youth activities, enrichment opportunities, special events, workshops, and programming throughout the year, enrolled students remain connected and are eligible to participate according to the requirements of each activity.
THE BTCST GRADE CARD / PASSPORT
BTCST uses a Grade Card/Passport to encourage students and families to remain active participants.
Participation in certain activities, incentives, trips, celebrations, and special opportunities may be based on the student's school participation and the family's parent/guardian participation.
Our goal is not simply to reward grades. We recognize effort, growth, attendance, responsibility, participation, and a student's willingness to keep moving forward.
PARENT/GUARDIAN PARTICIPATION IS REQUIRED
BTCST works with the whole family, which means parent or guardian participation is a required part of BTCST Year-Round Programming.
Parent participation does not mean that a parent must physically attend every activity.
Participation can look different depending on the program and the needs of the child and family. It may include responding to BTCST communication, reviewing and signing progress information, communicating with the BTCST team, participating in scheduled parent touchpoints, supporting expectations at home, attending designated family activities when required, and remaining actively involved in the student's progress.
You do not always have to be present but you do have to participate.
OUR COMMITMENT
BTCST is designed to build relationships with children and families that continue beyond one camp, one event, or one school year.
When a student becomes part of BTCST, our goal is to know them, follow their progress, celebrate their growth, support them through transitions, and remain connected through graduation.
Registration → Family & Student Interview → Acceptance → Year-Round BTCST Connection
One registration begins the journey. Once accepted, your child becomes part of a year-round community designed to grow with them through graduation.
